player Nick Lother has been selected as the BlackBerry Canadian Interuniversity Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the period ending February 20, 2011.



He was honoured as the Canada West Male Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

 

Lother, a fifth-year arts student averaged an exceptional 39 points per game as the Wesmen closed out the regular season with a hard fought 111-106 overtime loss and a 94-86 win at Lethbridge. On Friday, the 5-foot-10 guard scored a Canada West season-high 45 points and added 10 assists for a “double-double” while setting single-game conference records for most free throws made (22) and attempted (28). The following night, Lother was exceptional again from the free-throw line going 20-of-22 en route to a game-high 33 points and a 20.2 point-per-game average for the campaign, good for fifth place in Canada West.
