their 2010-2011 pre-season schedule with a pair of games against an NCAA
Division one opponent. The Wesmen will take on the South Dakota State
University Jackrabbits in a pair of exhibition games on Monday, August
23 and Thursday, August 26. Tip off at the Duckworth Centre is scheduled
for 8:30 pm both nights.
The Jackrabbits finished the 2009-2010 season with a conference record of 10-8, will be making their first appearance ever against the Wesmen. Tickets for the two exhibition games will be available on game days at the second floor ticket booth at the Duckworth Centre. Adult ticket prices are $8.00 per game, Students - $4.00 per game, University of Winnipeg students - $3.00 per game and children under 12 will receive free admission when accompanied by an adult.
"Although we will not have had much time together as a group, the opportunity to compete against a program such as South Dakota State is an exciting opportunity for us to test ourselves early against tough competition. The hope is that we can establish annual contests against division one opponents moving forward”, said Wesmen Head Coach Mike Raimbault.
