will be holding an “Open Selection Camp” for all their 2007-08 teams
which will be held Mon Aug 20th, Tues Aug 21st, and Thurs Aug 23rd.
Mb Magic consists of 4 teams (Boys Gr 6, 7, 8 & 9’s) that are trained by experienced, & energetic coaches that volunteer their time for the love of the game! The teams are looking at competing in the Rising Stars Club League and will also enter in Winnipeg tournaments as well as traveling to 4 or 5 out of town tournaments in the season. Player fees for the 2007-08 season is estimated to range from $250 - $350/player. Final fee will be distributed at the Selection Camp.
Mb Magic is looking for quality people to join our teams. Anyone with the heart & desire to improve and work hard is welcome to come out!
The camp will focus on fitness and basic hard work while working on skills evaluations, offensive & defensive fundamentals, and team drills. The camp will be run by all of the Mb Magic Coaching Staff working together to create the best teams possible for the new season!!!
Here are the dates & times for each grade:
- Boys Born 1995 & 1996 (Gr 7’s & 6’s) - Mon Aug 20th, Tues Aug 21st & Thurs Aug 23rd – 5:00 – 7:00pm @ UofW Duckworth Centre
- Boys Born 1993 & 1994 (Gr 9’s & 8’s) – Mon Aug 20th, Tues Aug 21st & Thurs Aug 23rd – 7:00 – 9:00pm @ UofW Duckworth Centre
Players must bring their own basketballs; Team selections for the 2007-08 season will be made on the last day.
Camp fee = $15.00 per player (3 days x 2 hours/day!!!!!!). Cheques are payable to “Manitoba Magic Basketball Club”.
