Justus Alleyn started playing basketball at the age of 6 and quickly fell in love with the game. As a player, Justus graduated from St. Paul’s in 2013, where he was named the #1 player in the province by the annual coaches poll.
Justus went on to play 5 years at the University of Manitoba, where he went on to become the school’s all-time leading scorer. He was a CanadaWest conference 1st team all-star in the 2017/2018 season and a 2nd team all-star in 2016/2017. In the 2017/2018 season, he led the conference in scoring with 24.1 ppg. He was also named the University of Manitoba Male Athlete of the Year in 2018. His success at the UofM had him selected to represent Canada with the Men’s National Team in 2017 (FISU Games – Taiwan) and in 2018 (Commonwealth Games – Australia), where he won a silver medal. After graduating from U of M, Justus played professionally for multiple seasons in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Canada (CEBL).
As a coach, Justus has been working with the Attack Basketball Club since 2016. Justus has a wide range of knowledge in the game of basketball and was a member of the Manitoba Provincial Team program in the past. Coach Justus strives to be a mentor for all players and help teach them the skills to take their games to the next level.
|In 2023, he joined the inaugural season of the Winnipeg Sea Bears of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).
