16U Female Head Coach - Sonia Radi

Sonia Radi has been involved in the basketball community both as a player and a coach for a number of years. As a coach at her former high school, Sonia is excited to join the Provincial Team program for the first time as the Head Coach of the 16U girls’ program.

Graduating in 2009 from Collège Jeanne-Sauvé, Sonia went on to play two notable years at Providence College University competing in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Association, being named to the MCAC All-Conference team both years. After two years, her aspirations to become a teacher took her to the University of Winnipeg where she played for the College Wesmen program for two years.

Now an English teacher at Collège Jeanne-Sauvé, Sonia has been coaching at both the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels since 2011. She looks forward to bringing her passion for basketball and coaching to the next level with the 16U team.
