    EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: SPIN Basketball Seeking Coaches for Fall Programs

    The City of Winnipeg run Sport Programs in Inner City Neighborhoods (SPIN) program is seeking basketball coaches to get involved with their after school youth basketball program.  SPIN is a free sports program, designed for children 8-14 years residing in inner-city neighborhoods, which will enable them to participate and learn basic skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership and fair play in a non-competitive environment.

    Program Dates:   OCTOBER – DECEMBER (9-12 week program)
    Times:         after school, evenings, possible Saturday afternoon
    Locations:         Various Schools and Community Centres around Winnipeg
    Age groups:         Approximately 8 – 14 year olds.
    Skill level of kids:         Intro to more experienced, basic skill based instruction.
    Coach Honourarium:   $25.00 / hour
    Application deadline: Oct. 1/17 by 5:00pm

    If you are accepted as a coach, you can accept as many or as few coaching dates as you wish.  Priority will be given to those that accept more/greater number of coaching opportunities.

    Our Commitment:
    SPIN through its partners can provide each Host Site with basic equipment, training for onsite leaders, one hour of coaching per week and assistance with coordinating the program.
