			<title>Wesmen Men Capture Summer League Title</title>

			<description>The University of Winnipeg Wesmen captured the Basketball Manitoba 
Summer League title defeating the University of Manitoba Bisons 86-80 on Wednesday night.  
The cross-town rivalry remains intact as both teams traded leads over 
the course of the game.  In the end the ability of the Wesmen defense to
limit Bison leader Eric Garcia proved to be the difference as they held
him to 11 points on 3/16 shooting.  Garcia had been the league&amp;#39;s most 
dangerous scorer trailing only Chris Dyck of the All-Stars team.  Erik 
Zimmerman and Nick Lother scored 13 points each while the Basketball 
Manitoba Summer League MVP Brayden Duff scored 10 points and grabbed 16 
rebounds notching a game high efficiency rating of 21.  Tanner Draward 
led the Bison attack with 19 points and 9 rebounds.  Congratulations to

			<title>Bisons Win First Ever Women's Summer League Title</title>

			<description>The University of Manitoba women&amp;#39;s team won the first ever Basketball 
Manitoba Summer League defeating their cross-town rivals the University 
of Winnipeg Wesmen 61-58, in a hard fought final game.  The fans piled 
into the Investors Group Athletic Center to see these two teams battle 
it our once again...this time in the middle of the summer.  Lauren 
Mortier lead all scorers with 22 points and Mubo Ilelaboye scored 15 and

			<title>Canada Wins Bronze at 17U World Championships</title>

			<description>HAMBURG, Germany - Olivier Hanlon (Gatineau, Que.) sank a three-pointer and two free throws in the final minute to give Canada an 83-81 win over Lithuania in Sunday&amp;#39;s bronze medal game at the FIBA U17 World Championship.  Canada had trailed 81-77 when Hanlon nailed his long-distance shot on a pass from Kevin Pangos (Holland Landing, Ont.) with 36 seconds remaining. Hanlon was fouled after grabbing a defensive rebound with 13 seconds left and made both free throws to put Canada ahead 82-81. Dyshawn Pierre (Whitby, Ont.) iced the victory with a final free throw.  University of Manitoba Men&amp;#39;s Basketball Coach and former Basketball Manitoba Provincial Team Coach Kirby Schepp is the assistant Coach for the 17U National team.
