CBS Pool Top 3 Finishers 

* 3rd place in the CBS pool was determined by a tie breaker involving Rob Janzen and Petur Petursson. In the case of a tie, the person guessing the closest to the combined score of the championship final was given the higher ranking. In this case, Rob guessed 130 points and Petur guessed 132. The final combined score between Duke and Butler was 120 points (61-59). Details on the scoring system used and tie breakers can be found below.

A side note to both pools is the ONLY person to pick Butler to win it all (let alone make the Final Four) was Mary 'The Greek' Wedlake, the 5 year old daughter of Adam 'The Geek' Wedlake of Basketball Manitoba. She was a half court shot away from winning the whole pool!

PRIZES

To be eligible to win one of the prizes below, you must be a resident of Manitoba and be or become a 'web member' of Basketball Manitoba BEFORE 10 am on Thursday March 18. To become a web member, go to http://join.basketballmanitoba.ca. There is NO cost to become a web member. There is NO cost to enter this pool.

This year, we will be hosting two pools with prizes for the top 3 finishers in EACH pool!  Those who are not web members may still participate in the pool, but are NOT eligible to win one of the following prizes.

• 1st Place - Reebok Play Dry Jacket, Fox40 Dry Erase Coaches Board & NCAA Wilson Basketball ($150 value)
• 2nd Place - Reebok Hoodie, Fox40 Dry Erase Coaches Board & NCAA Wilson Basketball ($125 value)
• 3rd Place - Reebok Polo & NCAA Wilson Basketball ($80 value)

The tournament schedule will be announced on the afternoon of Sunday March 14. You will need to login and submit your picks before 10 AM ON THURSDAY MARCH 18.

Deadline for submitting your brackets is 10 AM CST on Thursday March 18.

TIE BREAKER
In the event of a tie in overall points at the end of the tournament, the winner(s) will be determined by using the combined score you gave of the national championship game. The person picking the closest to this number will be given the win.

You are welcome to add comments to the Forums / Message Boards provided. We ask that you refrain from making personal or inappropriate comments. Those found doing so will be removed from the pool at Basketball Manitoba's discretion.
