Programs Elite Player Development Provincial Team Program
The Federal Government is now offering a tax credit to families who have their children involved in physical activities – including basketball. Basketball Manitoba will gladly issue a proper receipt to families on request for the amounts paid into the Provincial Team Program. Based on the tax guidelines, the value of the combined credit to a Manitoba resident will result in a $132 tax credit per child (based on a maximum eligible claim of $500 per child; 15.5% federally and 10.9% provincially of the eligible credit amount). Request your official Child Fitness Tax Credit Receipt to Heather Booy. Child Fitness Tax Credit Details Provincial Team Tryouts (top)
Basketball Manitoba annually hosts open tryouts for the Provincial Team program in early to mid-April. The tryouts are held in Winnipeg (typically at the University of Winnipeg
Duckworth Centre) over a weekend period for all levels of the program. Exact details are announced in the fall. From the initial tryouts, a select number will be invited to additional tryouts in late April to make then final teams. Athletes are expected to attend ALL tryout sessions.
