The Rady JCC is recruiting Jewish athletes to be a part of the Team Winnipeg delegation joining over
2,000 participants at the JCCA Maccabi Games August 5-10, 2018 in Orange County, CA. The Maccabi Games committee is asking for your help in identifying athletes that may be interested in attending this event.
The JCC Maccabi Games are an Olympic style competition for Jewish teens age 13 – 16 featuring Opening and Closing Ceremonies, a week of competition, evening social events and community service opportunities. It’s a great way for participants to compete in the sport of their choice, connect with others their age and learn about giving back to the community. The events being offered this year include:
- Boys Basketball (14U and 16U)
- Girls Basketball (16U)
Other sports offered include athletics, soccer, baseball, tennis, hockey, softball, lacrosse and football.
There is a Maccabi Games Information Session on Tuesday Dec. 12 from 6:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Kroft Boardroom at the Asper Campus located at 123 Donacater St. Anyone interested in attending can contact the Rady JCC Membership Desk at (204)477-7510 to register.
