The 2017 Canada Summer Games Host Society (CSGHS) will be running a 50/50 fundraising program. Basketball Manitoba is seeking volunteers to participate as sales agents using handheld electronic devices and accepting cash at specific venues and times between July 28 to August 13. Our designated location is The Forks. Sales agents can work together as a team of two or individually as long as the individual (or one person on the team) is a minimum of 16 years old. The 2017 CSGHS will provide t-shirts and day pass accreditation for the supervisor to distribute to their sales agents which must be worn when working a shift. When working a shift, sales agents will have access to the volunteer lounge where a light snack menu is available and should bring their own refillable water bottle. There are no competitive games of the CSG occurring at the sites for the 50/50. If you have already signed up as a Canada Games volunteer, this will most likely conflict with your current commitments, so this call out is for people new to volunteering with the Canada Games.
Proceeds from this initiative will go to support the Basketball for Life Fund.
