THIS WEEKEND: Stonewall Collegiate has announced that it will once again be hosting “Hoops for Hope” on Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th. We aim to raise both awareness and money for cancer research and are seeking the community's support.

“Hoops for Hope” is a fundraising 24 hour 3 on 3 basketball tournament that is driven by caring students who are trying to make a difference for people whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Many at Stonewall Collegiate can be counted in this number. They expect to see upwards of 40 teams entered and are looking forward to surpassing the total of $10 234 in 2016. A silent auction with great prizes will be offered and a canteen will be run throughout the event. Your donations, whether in the form of prizes, cash and/or canteen food, will help us to reach our goal.  Please contact Curtis Grieve at the Collegiate (467-5539 or cgrieve@isd21.mb.ca) to contribute or to gain additional information. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated.  Since its inception in 2013, the event has raised nearly $40,000 for Cancer Care in Manitoba!

If you would like to help out this cause, you can do so now on the Cancer Care Manitoba website at... http://support.cancercarefdn.mb.ca/goto/hoopsforhope2017
