Wesmen Women's Basketball Head Coach Tanya McKay has announced that after four successful seasons, the "I Can Score" Basketball Program will return for a fifth year at the University of Winnipeg.

The "I Can Score" program is designed to help players develop their one on one skills needed to take their games to the next level and create the ability to score in game situations.

Wanting to be a scorer and being a scorer are two different things. Being a scorer takes work.

The "I Can Score" program that coach McKay has implemented is designed to develop the ability to put the ball in the hoop from every area of the court.

Wesmen players and coaches will provide the on-court training from September to December.

Sign up now...When everyone else is sleeping in on Sunday mornings, you will be at the gym getting to work.

A quote from Christopher, a recent graduate of the “I Can Score” program:
“‘I Can Score’ is an absolutely amazing program which focuses on the individual aspect of basketball.  I was very fortunate to have taken part in this program.  Tanya's one-on-one coaching helped me with my footwork, ball handling skills and the creative part of my game."

Christopher’s mother Barbara added the following:
"My son very much enjoyed working with Tanya in her ‘I Can Score’ Program.  Any program that can get a 15-17 year old boy out of bed on a Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m must be doing something right. I saw his confidence grow along with his technique, this can only come with great one-on-one coaching. Tanya's mentorship on and off the court was invaluable and now his career is moving from high school to university."
