The Winnipeg Elites Basketball Club has announced open tryouts for the 2015/2016 season. This year, the program will be hosting a competitive grade 10 boys team composed of athletes born in 2000 or later. Athletes can expect to practice a minimum of 2 times a week, while partaking in local leagues (PBA & Mid West League), playing 2 games a week. In addition to league play, local tournaments and the opportunity to travel to Western Canada and the Northern USA will also part of the program. The team will be coached by Elites Head, Spencer Harrison.Tryouts will take place on Wednesday August 12and Friday August 14 from 6:00pm to 8:00pmat
Norberry Glenlee Community Centre located at 26 Molgat Ave. There is a $20 tryout fee per athlete to cover the cost of gym time. Pre-register by emailing winnipegelites@gmail.com. Pre registration is not required but it is recommended.
The Winnipeg Elites is a competitive basketball club whose roots are seeded in the development of the individual basketball player with the focus that their development will take the front seat. Our focus is on developing the athlete to be ready to enter their high school career and beyond.
Athletes are required to bring their own labeled basketball. Please arrive at least 20 prior to the scheduled tryout time. If your child is unable to make the tryouts, but is interested in playing please email Spencer Harrison at winnipegelites@gmail.com.
