REMINDER - SPACES FILLING UP FAST: The Junior Bison Boys Basketball Club has announced details on their upcoming club basketball tournament set for April 24-26, 2015 in Winnipeg. The tournament will run out of St. Paul's and St. James Schools and is open to boys basketball teams at the 12-18 age range. Cost to enter is $315 a team with a deadline of April 15 or when a division fills up at 8 teams. All teams will be guaranteed 4 scheduled games with 4 teams minimum entered per division and no team registered until payment received.
Games format:
- Four 8 minute quarters – regular stop time, first overtime 2 minutes of regular stop time, all
- additional overtimes will be 2 minutes running time. Half time is 2 minutes, and 1 minute
- between quarters. Teams to be ready to play 10 minutes before game time.
- Teams awarded 3time-outs per game to be taken any time. There is no carryover of time outs
- to overtime and teams will be awarded 1 time out per overtime period.
- 24 seconds shot clock for all divisions, administered by the referees.
All teams must also register with Basketball Manitoba. Annual fee is $225 per team or $25 for the 3 day tourney weekend coverage only.
