    SCHEDULE UPDATED: New 'Life of Peg' Adult Basketball League Formed in Winnipeg


    SCHEDULE & WEBSITE UPDATED: Basketball Manitoba would like to welcome its newest member group to offer a senior basketball league in Winnipeg called the 'Life of Peg'.  The Life of Peg Association of Manitoba is a new group which started on Facebook in September 2013.  The main objective on its creation is to connect newly landed immigrants and concerned Filipino-Canadian citizens in Winnipeg.  The Life of Peg was created to support people in their daily lives and challenges in a new country.  As of October 2014, Life of Peg is now a registered non-profit organization.

    The association conducted its first 'Sportsfest' on November 15, 2014 at Tec Voc High School to strengthen good rapport among members by promoting healthy lifestyle through sports.   The Sportsfest has now spawned a regular basketball league for adults to compete in.  The league regularly competes out of Churchill High School.
