Team Winnipeg fared very well this past weekend in Windsor Ontario at the annual FBA-NA intercity basketball tournament hosted on the Labour Day Weekend (Aug 30-31st).  Teams from Montreal, Durham, Toronto, Windsor, Mississauga, Vaughan, Austin, San Antonio, Detroit, Chicago, New York and Houston were well represented.

There were over 120 teams and 1500 players registered across 13 divisions. Winnipeg had 12 out of 13 teams represented...the largest delegation from all North American cities.  Over 200 Winnipegers made the trip to Windsor for the basketball event.  Overall, Winnipeg took home 2 championships, 3 second place awards and 6 final top four finishes over the weekend. An outstanding feat in comparison.  The group is extremely proud of the support and strength of our city and look forward to next year's tournament in New York!
