REGISTRATION EXTENDED TO JULY 13: The Indo-Canadian Basketball Association has announced its new and improved Unity Basketball League.  The objective of the UBL program is to provide an opportunity for young athletes to improve their fundamental skills of basketball and advance their knowledge of the game.  The UBL is opened to boys and girls new to the game of basketball and experienced athletes from grades 7-12.

UBL Registration @ Garden City Collegiate, 711 Jefferson Ave, Winnipeg
  • Wednesday July 9th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm
  • Saturday July 12th from 12:00 - 1:30 pm
  • Sunday July 13th from 12:00 - 1:30 pm
  • Saturday, July 5th from 12pm-4pm
  • Sunday, July 6th from 4pm-7pm
*both registration days will have an open gym going along with registration.   This will give athletes an opportunity to play and meet some of the coaches

League Features Include:

Head Coaches:
  • Sukhvir Singh
    • Head Coach of the 6 time MCAC conference champions Red River College Rebels.  Former University of Winnipeg Standout
  • Erfan Nasajpour
    • Pro-evolution Basketballs head instructor and current professional basketball player.  Former University of Winnipeg standout.
Head coaches will be joined by current university and college basketball players to ensure athletes will receive top level coaching.   UBL athletes will have access to all coaches and will be able to work in small groups ensuring maximum improvement throughout the summer.

Program Overview:
The UBL program is dedicated to help athletes improve their individual skill set as well as their knowledge of the team game.  Coaches worked hard during the off season to make changes to the program and are eager and ready to start working with registered athletes.
Athletes will receive:
  • Two skill work sessions per week
    • Individual skill work (offense and defense)
    • Team concepts (offense and defense)
    • On court agility work
  • One Scrimmage day / game day per week
  • Summer Championship Tournament
    • This will be run in August and will have many teams entered from the UBL and across the city
