The University of Winnipeg Wesmen have announced a new basketball camp this summer.  The 'I Can Score' camp is set for August 11-15 at the University of Winnipeg for girls in grades 9-12.  The week long summer camp will run at a cost of $115 per player.

The focus of this camp is to help your child develop one on one skills needed to score in game situations. The fundamentals of being a scorer and developing confidence to score, whether in the paint or on the perimeter, revolves around good footwork, proper shooting form, reading the defense and creativity on the move, with and without the basketball.

Location: University of Winnipeg – Duckworth Centre (400 Spence Street)
Dates and Times: August 11-15, 2014 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Cost: $115.00

All participants will receive a t-shirt and a University of Winnipeg basketball.

About Tanya McKay

McKay recently completed her 18th season as head coach of the University of Winnipeg Wesmen Women's Basketball program. She has been on the bench for over 400 overall victories and coached her team to four National Championship appearances between 2000–2004. She also has spent several years as both a head and assistant coach with the Manitoba Provincial Team Program. McKay was a very successful and decorated athlete who is committed to excellence and in her 25 years as a coach has made it a priority to have her athletes strive for that excellence not only on the court but also in everything they do.
