The University of Winnipeg Women's Basketball Program have announced details on its 'I Can Score' program for the fall / winter. The program is back for another season and will once again be designed to help players develop their one on one skills needed to score in game situation. Women's Basketball head coach Tanya McKay and Wesmen players will provide over 12 hours of on-court training during phase one of the program on selected Sunday mornings September to December.

The fundamentals of being a scorer whether in the paint or on the perimeter revolves around footwork, shooting form, reading the defense and creativity on the move while handling the ball. Wanting to be a scorer and being a scorer are two different things. Being a scorer takes work.

The "I Can Score" program that coach McKay is implementing is designed to develop the overall player with the ability to put the ball in the hoop from different areas of the floor.

Wesmen players and coaches will provide 12 hours of on-court training per phase.
