The Brandon University Bobcats women’s basketball team is returning the popular Bobcats Basketball Academy (BBA) following the success of the inaugural series of clinics last year.  The BBA is a skill-development and training opportunity for female basketball players aged 10-18.  Participants will receive instruction from Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) coaches and athletes that focuses on player development and team play with lessons on strength and conditioning, sports psychology and nutrition.  To learn more about the Bobcats Basketball Academy and to register online visit

“This will be the second year in which we are offering the Bobcats Basketball Academy and we hope to have great numbers again,” says Bobcats head coach Novell Thomas . “We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to girls in the Westman region.”
 
The clinics are divided into two age categories. The first series of clinics is for girls aged 14-18 and runs on Sunday afternoons starting September 8. The second age group is the KIDS Academy for youth aged 10-13, which runs Sundays in December.
 
The sessions are tailored to specific age groups to maximize results while promising a fun environment.
