Girls Basketball Training InitiativeThe Winnipeg Wolves are proud to announce that the Girls Basketball Training Initiative that was introduced this past summer will now be extended into the fall, operating with the current expectation that it will run into the spring and summer of 2014.

The Winnipeg Wolves Girls Basketball Training Initiative will be made available to girls between the ages of 15 (born in 1999) to 18 (born in 1996). During the fall, the training sessions will emphasize athlete skill-development within a team-orientated concept and will include two practices per week, including one practice to be held on the weekend.

The fall program will run from late-August until early-November, in an effort to prepare athletes for their upcoming high school basketball seasons. The Girls Basketball Training Initiative fee for these three months will be $375 plus a $25 Basketball Manitoba insurance fee that will cover the athletes for the year. Our training initiative will also attempt to minimize any potential scheduling conflicts with other club programs, in-season sports, or high school teams.

An open ID camp will be offered on the weekend of August 16th – 18th (see schedule below) for any female athletes that are interested in participating in the program. Please note that limited space is available for the training program.
