In his freshmen season with the Blazers, he averaged 5.6 ppg and 1.8 apg during the 2009-10 season which the team went 28-5 for the best record in school history and captured the Division II regional champions plus first Elite 8 appearance in school history.

Prior to Valdosta, Holloway played at Patterson prep school and averaged 22.5 ppg and 4.1 apg in 2008-09. He also went to Southwest DeKalb High School.

Schepp commented, “We are very excited to be adding Michael to our roster. With the loss of several veteran players due to graduation this past year, he will contribute right away and provide an experience and dynamic scoring ability. Michael can play both on and off the ball very well and fits perfectly in our up-tempo open court style of play. He is an outstanding athlete and high character person that will be a great addition to the Bisons.”
