    Phase 2 - Program begins Weds, January 16 to Weds, April 17th, 2012






    Athletes and parents, we welcome you to join us for the 2nd phase of Athlete Initiative Skill Development program, Open House on Wednesday, January 16th, 830pm at the Linden Woods Community Centre.

    OUR MISSION:






    Empowering today's female athletes to become successful at all levels through specific skills camps, individual sessions, mentorship and leadership training.






    Sports has always played an important and integral role in our lives and for that we carry on our experiences, good or bad, and allow that to shape us into the people we are today, and who we want to become.






    WHAT WE DO?






    We are the complimentary program that provides you with more opportunity to achieve your personal goals, and whether you are just starting out or have been around the game for awhile or an elite player looking to refine skills, this program is for everyone.






    Accessibility is what distinguishes us from other programs.


     


    Our intentions are genuine, as we invest in athletes at all levels to become successful with collaborative efforts from University level athletes and passionate coaches.






    COACHES - FACILITATORS:



    • Melanie Schlicter, University of Alberta Pandas alumni

    • Michelle Foreman, University of Winnipeg Wesmen alumni

    • Alyssa Grant, University of Winnipeg Wesmen, 4th year

    • Mubo Illeboye, University of Manitoba Bison, Alumni

    • Stephanie Kleysen, University of Winnipeg Wesmen, 3rd year

    • Alli Balasko, University of Manitoba Bison, Alumni

    • Suki Chhoeun, University of Winnipeg




    OPEN TO:



    • Females from all skill levels, Grade 7 through 12

    • 3 Month Membership

    • $ 250.00 New Members registration fee, (payable to 'Athlete Initiative). Fee cover's all training costs (coaching, gym rental), a gear package (jersey, shorts) and insurance.

    • $ 190.00 Returning Members




    Each month athletes will receive these fantastic perks for being a member:



    • + 10 hours of on court skill development in a positive learning environment

    • This time allows the athletes to work with our coaches, on court sessions will be divided as 65% Skill Development and 35% Play and Scrimmage.

    • + 3 hours of leadership training




    Classroom setting, leadership concepts and theories to become a better leader in addition athletes will be able to listen to our line up of special guest speakers

    + Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons
